Disneyland November 2019

My family loves Disneyland, and this vacation we went hardcore. We spent four days on vacation, one day in Knott's Berry Farm, two days in Disneyland, and one day in Universal Studios. I was so excited to go on this trip because it would be my first trip that I went to Disneyland during the holidays. I would say that this was one of the best Disneyland trips we have been on so far, and we have been to Disneyland four times, Disneyworld Paris once and Disneyworld Florida once. I find that every trip and vacation that we take, especially when it is Disney related, I think we get closer as a family. The following is what we did on our Disneyland vacation during November 2019.

Day 1: Knott's Berry Farm

Everything is decorated for Knott's during the holiday's. I really enjoyed looking at all of the different trees and taking photos with the props around the park. I really enjoyed the aesthetic of the "frozen" water fountain. The family really enjoyed all of the crazy roller coasters (not me, I was too scared for those.)

Day 2: Day one at Disneyland

The first day at Disneyland I mainly spent it trying to take in all of the surroundings of the Christmas decorations. It was also my first full attempt of trying to get a lot of video footage for the Christmas surprise I made for my family, which was a video of the trip. They really appreciated the video and I thought it turned out really well. First things first, we tried the gingerbread men at Disneyland and OH MY GOODNESS. They were the best cookie I've ever eaten. They were so soft and so amazing I couldn't even describe it. Just like Disney magic. I really enjoyed eating all of the Disney holiday themed foods. We rode on all the rides like Pirates of the Caribbean and the Haunted Mansion which changes into Nightmare Before Christmas for the holidays! I also LOVED how the ride looked with the Nightmare Before Christmas. We experimented with more of the seasonal foods like the Sugarplum Candy Churro (yum!), Chicken Mole, and enjoyed some dole whips. We also went and got the peppermint beignet, hot chocolate beignet, and grandma even got her corn dogs for lunch. We ended the night by watching the Christmas nighttime fireworks and it was such a magical show.

Day 3: Day two at Disneyland

The second day at Disneyland was quite an adventurous one for me. More on that later. Day two we spent some of the afternoon shopping. We rode on one of our favorite rides, Indiana Jones. We of course needed to take a Starbucks break and we chilled for about 30-45 minutes in Starbucks just relaxing. Sleeping Beauty's castle is just completely TRANSFORMED with the holiday. We ended up taking loads of fun photos in front of the castle. Of course we also hit one of our favorite lands, Cars Land. We always have so much fun going on the Radiator Springs, it is also one of our favorite rides. To end the night I did a really big scary thing. . . Are you ready for this? I went on the Pixar Pal-A-Round Swing. And oh man, was that an experience. I went with my two cousins and friend. I about died laughing at Gaven's reaction to the ride.

Tennessee Vacation

My family likes to try to go on vacation about once a year. We were planning on going to Disneyland, however, we decided to go to Dollywood in Tennessee to go somewhere new. On this vacation my sister, mother, aunt, two cousins, and grandmother all went to Dollywood in June 2018.

What to pack:

  • Shorts & tee shirts
  • Dresses
  • Cowgirl hats to keep the sun off of your face
  • Sunscreen
  • Backpack/ some sort of pack to carry your things around
  • Camera or cell phone
  • Water bottle!! (We bought one at the park, and we could get refills for $1. This included any Coke products)
  • Nice outfit for going out
  • Swim suit to go to the swim park in Dollywood
  • Flannels for the aesthetic
The following is what we did on each day:

Christmas Bucket List

I needed to find some Christmas cheer this December, so I decided to make a Christmas bucket list. Because I enjoyed my October/November bucket list (click here to view), I decided to make a December bucket list. I mean "it's the most wonderful time of the year." However, I did not leave the house much, and I was super focused on finals as it was my first term in the masters program. I did a lot of my bucket list at home, and some when I spent time with my boyfriend (which took a lot of convincing, and he didn't even realize that we were doing some of the things). I celebrated a couple of December birthdays as well. There was not as much snow as we normally get, so I wasn't able to do a lot of the snow related activities.

"May you never be too grown up to search the skies on Christmas Eve." - unknown.
"The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear!" - Buddy the Elf.

The following is my December/Christmas bucket list and what I completed:

Oregon Coast Road Trip

Brette and I went on a vacation to Paris, and we have been best friends ever since. We decided that we wanted to go on another vacation, and we had many ideas for this trip. We ended up deciding to do the Oregon Coast road trip, and I'm so glad we did!! We both had so much fun and it was very relaxing. It was the perfect vacation, and I'm so glad that Brette planned almost (really like all) of the vacation. She did such a great job planning the itinerary and coming up with ideas of what to do. We packed a lot in for those days at the coast, and the following is how we did it! The vacation also allowed us to bond and become even better friends!

Canada Vaction

I went on this vacation with Emily, who has been my best friend since junior high. Ever since we graduated high school in 2014, we wanted to go on a vacation together. We decided that for college graduation, that we would go on our vacation! We ended up going to Vancouver, B.C., during March 2018 because it was our spring break. We had so much fun experiencing new culture, trying new things, and tasting new foods. I spent about $1,000 on this vacation.

October Bucket List

October Bucket List

Fall is my favorite time of the year. I am always looking forward to fall and as soon as fall is over, I am waiting for fall to come back again. "Fall has always been my favorite season. The time when everything bursts with its last beauty, as if nature had been saving up all year for the grand finale" - Lauren DeStefano.

The following is my bucket list for what I wanted to do during October. The checks and photos are what I completed in the bucket list!

Copper and Todd

My sister and I were looking up online dogs that were for sale. We found a new pack of Mini Australian Shepherds that were for sale near Salem, Oregon that were born October 15th, 2010. We told our parents, and we got our dogs in December! Kelsey and I were so excited to get our first ever puppies! We took forever to plan their names. We knew that they were going to be brother and sister, and that we wanted to name them after something Disney. We came up with a list of different names, but when we got the dogs we decided that Todd and Copper from Fox and the Hound fit them best.

Disneyland March 2015

My family and I absolutely love Disneyland. I went on vacation in March 2015, with my mother, sister, grandma, aunt, and two cousins. We had so much fun on this vacation, and by the end of the vacation, my family definitely felt like we had bonded. The first thing that we normally do before going to Disneyland is watch tons of Disney movies and listen to a Disney soundtrack on the car ride over. My mother is the one who introduced me to this Disney addiction. She has always loved Disney, and she knows how to Disney hard-core. We went to Disneyland during the spring time, so my packing list is based on spring weather.

Alaska Cruise Vacation

For my high school graduation, my grandfather took me and my cousin (Gaven) on a cruise to Alaska in August 2014. We went on the Princess Cruise Line, and stopped at Ketchikan, Juneau, and Skagway. We took a train from Salem to San Francisco, where we boarded our cruise ship.

At the time that I went on the cruise, (I didn't think that I was going to be doing much traveling) I didn't have a passport. I had to make sure to bring my birth certificate in order to board the cruise. Since my vacation to Alaska, however, I have been to two other countries. I would recommend getting a passport because it makes the trip much easier.
